Crimson Moon could see the path of the black rod.

But seeing it did not mean he could dodge it. The rod was simply too fast for him to evade.

When the rod struck his body, Crimson Moon was sent flying backward.

If sound could travel on the moon, there would probably have been something like an explosion.

Only then did Touko and Gray notice a figure standing at the edge of the crater.

It was a woman dressed in a nun's habit, holding a weapon that looked like a pile driver.

Gray did not recognize the woman, but from her habit, she guessed that she was a combatant from the Holy Church.

Touko, however, knew her. She was Ciel, the famous seventh-ranked Executor of the Burial Agency, code-named "Bow."

Ciel leaped down in front of Touko and Gray.

Ciel said, "I'm Ciel, an Executor of the Holy Church. Are you two all right?"

Touko said, "I won't die just yet."

Gray nodded in agreement.

Ciel said, "Leave this to me. Please retreat to a safe area as quickly as you can."

With that, Ciel raised the Seventh Holy Scripture and watched coldly as Crimson Moon approached, step by step.

Crimson Moon said, "You can actually use Black Keys as blunt weapons. You must be someone of note."

Ciel said, "Ciel, seventh seat of the Burial Agency!"

Crimson Moon said, "So you're that host of Roa's!"

Ciel said, "I know you aren't her, but I hate you just as much!"

Birds' ability to track motion far surpassed that of humans. This ability was a core survival advantage that had evolved through flight, hunting, and evading predators.

Simply put, if what humans saw was like a smoothly playing movie, the world through a bird's eyes was like slow motion.
