Morgan solemnly declared, "Artoria Pendragon, this is the burial ground I specially chose for you."
Noble Phantasm: The Ever-Witnessed Dream of Destruction. No reward, no salvation. Even Excalibur is only capable of this much. Even at the end, birds will sing of tomorrow. Fall—into the utopia that can no longer be reached. Rank: EX Type: Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm Range: 10–99 Maximum Targets: 100 Roadless Camelot. The Chalk City, Camelot, which Morgan had spent her entire life trying to enter but had never achieved.
The laws of the world... in other words, "Human Order," had not allowed Morgan to become the ruler of Britain.
Her unfulfilled wish had turned into lamentation, eventually becoming hatred—twisted into a desire for domination and a sense of privilege.
Her burning homesickness, her rage toward humanity, and her hatred for Artoria, who as a being like herself could sit upon Camelot's throne, had transformed Morgan into "the existence that destroys the Round Table."
This was a Noble Phantasm that manifested her way of existence through magecraft. It was Morgan's grudge, instantly walking the path she could never possibly take and seeking to destroy it.
What Morgan sought to defeat was not King Arthur, but the fate that, for humanity's sake, had to destroy the Fairies of the British Isles once... namely, Human Order itself.
To defeat Human Order, she returned from the end and became a Witch who cursed the world. (Though she was originally a Caster, I changed it into a Berserker Noble Phantasm. The description mentions manifesting her existence through magecraft, and the swimsuit Noble Phantasm's name did not quite match its chant, so I combined them slightly.)
The familiars watching the battle were reduced to ashes. To learn the outcome, I immediately sent more familiars to the battlefield. By the time they arrived, the Reality Marble had vanished. Every Servant present had been affected to varying degrees, but fortunately, there had been no casualties.
Only Morgan and Zouken Matou had disappeared. When the familiar reached Mother's side, I asked, "What happened afterward? What is the situation now?"
Mother answered, "I never thought we had all been fooled. This was nothing more than an older sister teaching her younger sister a lesson, making her understand what the human heart was. It moved me to tears."
"The four of us remaining were merely supporting characters. That glittering fellow was so furious that he flew off directly. That old worm probably died after having all his magical energy drained dry."
"Since there's nothing left to watch, let's go home too. I hope Zouken Matou is truly dead."
The next morning, just after I woke up, the satellite phone received news. Kenneth had tried to ambush Kiritsugu Emiya the previous night, only to be captured instead. After suffering severe injuries, he had been traded away in exchange for lifting the Spiky-Haired King's curse.
Kirei Kotomine seemed to have gone to launch an ambush as well. He believed he had killed Saber's Master, but apparently, he had failed.
I frowned. The plot had corrected itself and returned to its proper course.
Then, would Kenneth ambush Risei Kotomine next? If he truly did, Tokiomi Tohsaka would undoubtedly die.
All I had to do now was wait patiently and arrange for familiars to monitor the church. With one King missing, it seemed it would still be a meeting of three Kings. I wondered whether this time, the Spiky-Haired King's debate of kings would turn out differently.
According to the familiars' reports, Rider had driven toward the Spiky-Haired King's castle. The debate of the three Kings was about to begin, so I headed over to watch the show.
When I arrived, they had just begun stating their views. Gilgamesh spoke first. "Absolute loyalty to one's own desires. All laws beneath heaven are decided by oneself, and all violations must be punished."
Iskandar said, "A king is a tyrant who indulges freely in his desires. Yet it is precisely those desires that captivate others, forging deep bonds between him and his subjects."
Saber said, "A king stands alone, sacrifices herself for her ideals, and utterly eradicates her own selfish desires." Even after being taught a lesson by Morgan, she still did not understand the human heart. She simply could not learn it.
There was also the delightful scene of Waver being swatted away. This spectacle was truly satisfying, and then Assassin barged in, followed by the deployment of King's Army.
My blood was boiling as I watched. After recalling the familiars, I waited for news from Kenneth's side.
Sure enough, as soon as Kenneth could push his own wheelchair, he hurried to the church. I recalled the familiars, because the outcome was already clear.
I arranged for Mother to go to Kenneth's refuge, because I intended to save Kenneth's life. After all, I would eventually have to visit the Clock Tower, and I would need a local to show me around.
When Mother arrived, she indeed witnessed a scene just like the plot: Saber and Lancer were fighting. Fearing that delays would bring unforeseen changes, I decisively told Mother to stop them.
Mother's arrival not only halted the battle between the two of them, but also stopped Kiritsugu Emiya's actions. The three sides faced one another.
Mother spoke up. "Sorry for the interruption. I came this time to pass along a message from my child."
"I hope Saber's Master can spare Lancer's Master and his fiancée. In return, I will handle Archer. What do you say?"
Only then did Diarmuid belatedly realize that his Master was being held hostage.
Mother continued, "If possible, let these two have a grand battle while we're at it. I can barely stand watching anymore."
After thinking it over, Kiritsugu Emiya stepped forward and said, "Why should I believe you?"
Well, Mother's catchphrase came out again. "My child is being super serious, you know. Could you show a little trust? Of course, if you refuse, then I can only take them by force." With that, she drew her sword.
After weighing the matter repeatedly, Kiritsugu Emiya agreed to the deal and also agreed to let Saber and Lancer fight.
According to Mother, neither side's technique was inferior to the other's, but the Spiky-Haired King should have held a slight advantage after all. A swordsman countered a Lancer. In the end, the Spiky-Haired King pierced Diarmuid's chest with a single strike, making for a satisfactory conclusion.
I arranged for people to treat Kenneth and his fiancée, Sola-Ui Nuada-Re Sophia-Ri. At the very least, their lives had to be preserved.
Although Tokiomi Tohsaka had not revealed me to Kirei Kotomine, Gilgamesh might know of my existence. After Kirei Kotomine and Gilgamesh betrayed everyone, they might come after me.
That was why I had agreed to Kiritsugu Emiya's request and said that I would handle Archer. This was practically a free gain.
I notified Tokiomi Tohsaka that Kenneth was out, while also hinting that he should beware of those around him. It was my final concern for that bargain-bin father-in-law.
Next, all I had to do was stand by the satellite phone and wait for news. A few days passed like that, until the satellite phone received a message: Archer and Kirei Kotomine have betrayed everyone. Run.
Everything was exactly as I had guessed. The Counter Force wanted Berserker dead.
Kirei Kotomine would still need some time to get here. First, I arranged for Mother to bring the Tohsaka mother and daughter over, though the methods used to bring them here were somewhat forceful.
I honestly told them that Tokiomi Tohsaka was dead, then showed them the message on the satellite phone. After comforting them, I had Fujino take the Tohsaka family to another secret base, a place known only to Fujino and me.
Fujino wanted to stay and fight alongside me. I hoped she would use her strength to protect the Tohsaka family. After much persuasion, I finally got her to take them away.
The familiars had confirmed that Kirei Kotomine had gone to the Tohsaka mother and daughter's residence, only to find it empty. He was now on his way here.
