Xu Fu might always look gloomy, as though she had a lot weighing on her mind—the very picture of social anxiety.
In reality, though, her communication skills were excellent. She was the classic sort who could make herself at home with anyone; calling her a social butterfly would be no exaggeration.
No matter how unfamiliar the people or surroundings, she could quickly fit in and strike up a smooth, natural conversation.
Xiao Sha had only just subdued her by force, yet here she was, chatting and laughing away. Anyone who hadn't seen what happened would have thought she was the center of the group.
Whenever things touched on her areas of expertise, she had tremendous confidence in her own abilities and techniques, to the point of arrogance.
Interestingly, however, her outward demeanor often suggested an inferiority complex. The contrast was truly surprising.
It was worth stressing that "abilities" here did not mean combat prowess. If they actually had to rely on Xu Fu to fight, they would probably be better off counting on the Master herself.
Within her fields of expertise, Xu Fu firmly believed she was second to none.
When she manifested as an Alter Ego-class Servant, she had even absorbed a portion of two deities' powers through special means.
Those two deities were Ame-no-Mahitotsu-no-Kami from Japan and Shennong from China, also known as the Five Grains Immortal Emperor.
Strictly speaking, however, Xu Fu had only drawn on a tiny fraction of their powers. Perhaps "borrowing" would have been a more accurate description.
Although she had inherited nothing on the combat front, her inheritance in support-oriented Dao Arts and medicine was quite comprehensive.
There was no time to lose. Since they had decided to act, the person on the other side was surely growing desperate from waiting.
