Damn it, another "Hero, Please Start Over." I'd been stuck on this stage for half a year already.
Although Mystic Eyes could indeed counter charm techniques, losing was losing. No matter how I positioned myself, I couldn't win.
Giving up on this route to find Abe no Seimei? Sorry, but I was behind enemy lines. To find Abe no Seimei, I'd have to cross the enemy camp. If I could get through, I'd have gone to challenge Ashiya Douman myself.
I hadn't gone far before I was discovered, surrounded, and beaten to death.
This was my seventh time entering this lousy dungeon. You might ask why I kept coming back if I couldn't clear it. Looking for a beating? Didn't you know that using something early meant its cooldown started early too?
Standing idly at the entrance to Tamamo-no-Mae's cave, I pondered what to do. As I checked the system inventory, I was shocked to find an item at the very bottom that could be used in reality???
Hadn't it been agreed that items couldn't be used? Looking closer, it was a one-time item: Protagonist Privilege Card.
Should I use it? Maybe I'd be able to clear the stage if I did. After all, anything could happen to a protagonist. Maybe the enemy would be conquered by my kingly aura, defect, cast aside their weapons, and surrender with proper ceremony. Then I could clear the stage, right?
I'd originally planned to use it in the Temple of Time. But it seemed I had a pretty good chance of succeeding there even without it, so I might as well use it now.
