Outside the passage, in the empty, deserted underground space, Ren Ze turned to Su Shi'er and asked as soon as they landed.

Ren Ze frowned, his face filled with confusion as he spoke.
"Perhaps... it has something to do with the Anomalous Power within the Night Clan's bodies. Those auras may be powerful, but the Anomalous Power in their bodies must be even more immense. If they acted rashly, they might suffer backlash from that Anomalous Power."
After some thought, Su Shi'er gave his answer in a low voice.
When they had first arrived among the Night Clan, both their cultivations had been sealed, and the information they could sense had been limited.
But the instant their cultivations broke free of the seals, they had both clearly sensed several even more terrifying and formidable auras deep within the Night Clan.
"That is true. Still, there are far too many strange things about this Night Clan. Though the Night Clan members treated us kindly, this is by no means a place to linger. Fortunately, you and I have both left safely now."
