History
Tiandao Palace was historically a major orthodox cultivation force and repeatedly served as a leader of the righteous path. Its inheritance spans nearly ten thousand years, though its public influence waned after its strongest figures entered seclusion and its gates were largely closed for centuries 2259 3307.
Thousands of years ago, Cui Shaolin infiltrated the palace before becoming its Holy Son. After learning its unique deduction secret law, he exploited the weakness of Tiandao Palace's Supreme Elders while they were deriving heavenly secrets, arranged the deaths or disappearances of numerous disciples, and enabled the Descendants of Gods to seize control of the sect. Survivors who knew the truth were branded rebels and hunted down, while ordinary disciples continued joining the palace without realizing they were serving the occupiers 2966 3218.
Under Cui Shaolin and the Descendants of Gods, Tiandao Palace retained its public identity while operating in secret. Cui pursued the Heaven and Earth Furnace, deployed disciples to search for Su Shi'er and the Scattered Immortal Body, and cooperated with demonic forces while maintaining control through formations, secret laws, and the palace's inherited resources 2636 2637 3217.
Cui Shaolin was killed in the Ancient God Ruins, although a wisp of his Nascent Soul escaped. His extinguished soul lamp alarmed the Descendants of Gods and destabilized the power structure he had dominated 2965 2966.
After the collapse of the Descendants of Gods' control, Zhong Shenxiu demonstrated the authentic Tiandao Palace secret law and was accepted by the remaining disciples as the sect's new Sect Master.
