Background

The Nascent Soul Stage is separated from the Golden Core Stage by a fundamental gap in power; even a half-step Nascent Soul is still considered a Golden Core cultivator. Reaching this stage marks a cultivator's entry onto the threshold of the Great Dao. 957 1422

A Nascent Soul generally forms when a Golden Core shatters into pure energy and absorbs the heavenly energy gathered through tribulation. This energy condenses into a miniature humanoid seated within the Dantian's inner universe, where it begins refining surrounding energy. 1302

Although Nascent Soul cultivators enjoy lifespans of roughly a thousand years, advancing beyond this realm is exceptionally difficult. The transition toward the Out of Body Stage requires surviving the Six-Nine Heavenly Tribulation and condensing a Primordial Spirit; failure can result in the annihilation of both body and spirit. 1422 1461

Appearance

A Nascent Soul commonly resembles a miniature version of its cultivator, usually around three inches tall and seated cross-legged in the Dantian. Its tiny eyes, facial expression, aura, and unusual traits can reflect its owner's condition, cultivation path, or state of mind. 863 1302
