Rustle!
Oli Atot realized how serious the situation was.
His bark split, and even a few dead branches trembled loose from his crown. He answered in a low voice, "Yasum Eno!"
Sadi and Phil Sadi thought for a moment. Neither had heard the name before. Either he was a nobody, or it was an alias. They paid little attention to a mere codename.
Without interrupting, they let Oli Atot continue. "He set three conditions. First, offer a complete rubbing of the Bloodline Origin Ancestral Talisman, along with a detailed explanation of its runic formulas."
The Bloodline Origin Ancestral Talisman! A gleam flashed through Sadi's pale green eyes.
As its owner, Sadi naturally knew how precious it was. Even a mere rubbing was worth far more than a Second Ring member of the clan.
Attempting a human smile, Sadi nodded in satisfaction. "Go on! What are the other two conditions?"
Oli Atot drew a deep breath and forced himself to continue. "Second, offer a complete body of knowledge on transforming supernatural creatures into humans, along with an introductory explanation."
"There's no need for quite so much detail. I'm something of an expert in that field myself."
At this, Sadi's smile grew even brighter. Although this field of knowledge was already fairly mature, it was still far from perfect.
The human avatar was currently restricted to the range of the true body's life radiation. With something to draw inspiration from, perhaps Sadi could construct a perfect human body that could exist independently for long periods, even outside that range.
Oli Yateto's lips moved twice. Praying that Lord Sadi would realize the truth without his having to spell it out, he drew a deep breath and continued. "Third, offer a Third-Ring True-Name Totem Rune, along with a portion of compatible bloodline true blood!"
