The Wizard Laboratory had officially begun operating two days earlier.
Angele Raylin woke from his slumber and headed to the No. 1 Mountain Wizard Laboratory just in time.
Although he belonged to the first batch of students, he differed from the other Zero-Ring Wizard Apprentices. He wanted resources, but he valued his life even more.
After signing the contract under the witness of the All-Knowing Eye, he rested for two days to recover his mental strength before joining the grand undertaking of rune construction, becoming a tiny cog in the laboratory's machinery.
"Huh? Is this the same Wizard Laboratory?"
He had only just stepped through the laboratory's entrance.
Angele Raylin was already too astonished to speak.
Inside the formerly empty building, everything had become orderly.
Bright crystal lights, matching white uniforms. Some people frowned in contemplation, occasionally sketching nonstop on paper; others argued heatedly with their colleagues; still others...
Even the people walking through the corridors looked hurried, quickening their steps rather than wasting a moment.
"Aren't wizard laboratories supposed to spend most of their time observing, recording, and pondering pointless things while waiting for inspiration? How can this place be so... busy?"
Angele Raylin clicked his tongue. The Wizard Laboratory before him was worlds apart from any laboratory he had seen or heard about.
Deep down, two words involuntarily surfaced in his mind: efficiency and professionalism.
