He was unlike the White-Bone Soul Banner, which needed reforging, or Kot Yukeli and Klee Kot, who needed to be revived.

All he needed was authority over the second layer of the Nightmare World. Lucky Star Lucia had no reason to give him a share of her divine power.

The white light entered his Sea of Consciousness through his brow and became countless restrictions that merged with his soul.

A reflection of a white moon appeared on Silent Lake, though no moon hung in the sky above it.

"Wizardry! A curse!"

Yin Ming frowned and hurriedly used the permanently inscribed Sorcery Runes of the Great Light Technique to activate the "purification" Law Fragment.

Pale flames swept across the lake. The moon's reflection vanished, only to draw on his mental power and reappear an instant later.

Ember appeared as a dark-red spark and asked curiously, "You carry Lady White Moon's aura. What happened?"

Yin Ming slowly opened his eyes. After a pause, he explained, "She tied my life to those skeletons awaiting revival. If any one of them dies, I die too."

Ember looked surprised. "Don't you have the 'purification' Law Fragment?"

Yin Ming shook his head again. "It won't work. This curse can restore itself. First-Ring Wizardry can't cleanse it completely. I'd probably need Fourth-Ring law wizardry."

Ember gloated. "So you have to be their nanny?"

"That's... not much of a problem!"

The two bone beads and six Sealing Swords had become eight Undead Skeletons made of Divine Jade Bone.

Their consciousnesses were still forming and awakening, like newly fertilized embryos or seeds yet to sprout.
