Crack.
Andorf Hack tightened his fingers slightly, crushing the diamond-shaped dark gray crystal. A wave of mental energy spilled out.
Most Abyss Demons could not control mental energy directly like human wizards, so they could not use it to stimulate a fragment of their soul and verify whether a Quasit's Soulstone was real.

It looked as though he had endured pain far beyond what his body could bear in a single instant.
"A loyal Quasit, just as I thought."
Andorf Hack bared a mouthful of white teeth in a satisfied grin and walked slowly up to Yin Ming.

The pain vanished from Yin Ming's face. He bent an arm to block.
A crack split the ground beneath his feet, dispersing the force of Andorf Hack's blow.
The black mist became a small snake that clung to his flesh and corroded it. A wound deep enough to expose bone soon opened on his blocking arm.
"Golden Light Spell!"
A white flame ignited around Yin Ming, purifying the black mist that lingered over the wound.
