The Source Plane, Erji City.
The worshippers offering prayers suddenly heard a low rumble.
They looked up. The Beast God's will had descended, and the hundred-meter-tall stone statue had come alive.
Soon, the statue transformed into a giant middle-aged man with bronze skin and sharply defined muscles, dressed like a primitive ancestor.
The Beast God sensed his surroundings and discovered that this was an unfamiliar plane.
The believers wore ordinary clothing, and the city had orderly buildings, rather than being a primitive tribe steeped in savagery.
The sacrificial ceremony was being presided over by a Zero-Ring Wizard Apprentice, not a priest possessing the Beast God's divine power.
He was utterly bewildered. "This isn't part of my territory. Why is there a statue of me here? Who established a religion in my name? And why would the power controlling this plane allow it?"
The Beast God's dark eyes gazed down. He released none of a god's mighty aura, but his enormous body was oppressive enough to leave the mortals trembling to their very souls.
A giant!
The statue had come alive!!
A seemingly devout believer lowered his head, his thoughts unsettled and his eyes filled with fear.
He instinctively wanted to run, but because he had not moved to the back of the crowd beforehand, he found he could not escape quickly.
Beside him, a young believer's eyes mingled excitement with fear. He likewise dared not look up, or even breathe too loudly.
Other worshippers gazed up at the hundred-meter god, their eyes growing ever more fervent as they became fanatics fostered by the evil god model.
The multitude displayed every conceivable reaction.
No one in the entire city made a sound. The air was so still it seemed frozen solid.
