Jiang Tingxu had prepared slippers for Si You. Si You wiped his mouth and hurriedly stood up. "Hello, Auntie."
"Oh, hello, hello." The moment Ning Se changed her shoes, she quickly headed toward Si You. Jiang Tingxu stood where he was and sighed softly. He was happy, but that did not stop him from feeling wistful.
"Oh my, why do you look thinner?" Ning Se touched Si You's face.
Si You was surprised. "Do I?"
"Yes." Jiang Tingxu picked up the thread. "You've been busy lately. When you're home, I keep an eye on you and make sure you eat, but when you're out filming commercials or doing variety shows, you combine all three meals into one."
"That won't do," Ning Se said softly.
Si You smiled sheepishly. "I'll remember that, Auntie."
Ning Se looked Si You over. Autumn had arrived, and Lindu had turned cooler. Jiang Tingxu had arranged everything thoughtfully; even the loungewear was long-sleeved and cream-white. A small tuft of Si You's hair stood up on top of his head, making him look especially lively. Come to think of it, Si You was only twenty-two now. Under normal circumstances, he would have just graduated from college or still been in his senior year.
Si You poured Ning Se some tea and heard Jiang Tingxu ask, "Did you come all this way just to see us?"
Ning Se flicked her gaze toward Si You before saying, "Your grandfather wants you two to go back for a visit."
Si You nearly poured the boiling water onto his hand.
Not "you," but "you two."
Jiang Tingxu frowned slightly, took the teapot from Si You, and continued making tea. "Why so suddenly?"
"Suddenly?" Ning Se really wanted to roll her eyes at Jiang Tingxu. "How long have you two been together?
