Jing Hongchen holds two of the Sun Moon Empire's most influential institutional positions: Hall Master of Mingde Hall and dean of the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy. As a Rank 9 Soul Engineer, he is highly recognizable across the empire and commands substantial authority over Soul Tool research, academy affairs, and strategic resources. 9 110

During the Sun Moon Emperor's declining health and the princes' struggle for succession, Jing Hongchen deliberately avoided committing to any claimant. He judged early allegiance too risky and instead focused on developing the Hongchen Family through his grandchildren, Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen. 9 25
