Hang City, Spring Lake Road, Bookish Nook.

Despite its name making it sound like a bookstore, Bookish Nook was actually a café, though it had a large collection of books customers could borrow for free.

On an autumn afternoon, ordering a twenty- or thirty-yuan coffee, picking out a book you liked, and sitting by the glass window overlooking the scenery outside could easily make an entire afternoon slip away.

Since Spring Lake Road was right beside the university district, many of the customers here were college students.

"Welcome."

The chime of the wind bell and the server's greeting rang out at the same time, falling on the ears of Zuo Yi, who had just pushed open the door, like a scene replayed from yesterday.

Back when he had studied at Hangcheng University, whenever he felt depressed or irritated, he would come here, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy some time alone.

He remembered that the café owner had kept two orange cats back then, both as fat as pigs.

Zuo Yi had petted them several times. He wondered whether they were still around.

Some memories were probably destined to remain in the past.

"Are there two of you?"

The server's question brought Zuo Yi back to his senses. He smiled and said, "We're meeting someone."

"Okay."

The college-aged female server, clearly working part-time, smiled. "Please let me know if you need anything."

She secretly glanced at Gu Yunxi, who had entered with Zuo Yi. What a gorgeous young lady!

Holding Gu Yunxi's hand, Zuo Yi headed upstairs with familiar ease. "I used to come here a lot. It's been six or seven years, but nothing much has changed."

Gu Yunxi smiled faintly. "Did you used to come here with girls a lot?"

It was her first time here.
