Feng Xiaotian and Huo Wushuang huddled together to discuss it for a long while. Their conclusion was that they held no advantage in either speed or agility underwater. If they swam across by force, they would most likely be surrounded.
"What if we fly over?" Feng Xiaotian suddenly suggested. "I can't fly continuously, but gliding for a stretch won't be a problem."
"What will you do when you glide to the middle? Fall into the water?" Huo Wushuang poured cold water on the idea.
"Wouldn't I still have you guys?"

Bing Yekong turned to glance at her. Shui Bing'er met his eyes, her gaze calm and the corners of her lips carrying the faintest hint of a smile.
"Just like you thought," Bing Yekong said. "Freeze the surface. The soul beasts won't be able to break through the ice, and we can walk across it. We won't touch the seawater at all, so it doesn't count as killing them. It perfectly meets the assessment requirements."
He turned and explained his idea to the others.
Feng Xiaotian froze for a moment after hearing it, then slapped his thigh. "That's right! You two both have Ultimate Ice. If you freeze a layer of ice over the sea, no matter how capable those soul beasts
