He gazed at the miraculous construct formed from countless Byakugan, sensing the vast energy and fragments of laws contained within it, his heart as still as an ancient well. Though this thing was valuable, it was not his path. Only by refining its origin and merging it into his own Golden Core would he be on the right path.
He hesitated no longer. Raising a hand in a beckoning gesture, the Chaos Immortal Power within him surged like a river, transforming into countless fine streams of gray air that reached toward the enormous azure sphere like tendrils, ready to forcibly extract its purest source power.
Yet just as the Chaos Immortal Power was about to touch the Tenseigan—

A furious, startled roar exploded through the empty underground space like thunder. Immediately afterward, several figures shot out from different passageways at incredible speed, instantly forming an encirclement that separated Neji from the Tenseigan.
There were five of them, all dressed in ancient white robes utterly different from those of the Ninja World, bearing a strong Ōtsutsuki Clan style. Their faces were pale, their pupils a faint blue unlike the Hyuga Clan's pure white, and there were no Caged Bird curse marks on their foreheads. Energy fluctuations sharing the same origin as the Tenseigan, though far weaker, emanated from their bodies. The leader was an older man with a stern face and eyes as sharp as an eagle's, fixed unwaveringly on Neji. That furious shout had come from him.
Clearly, they were descendants of Hamura Ōtsutsuki, who had guarded this place for generations.
