The puppets swiftly closed in on Doichi Hyuga, their two sawblades chopping down with ferocious force.

Doichi Hyuga drew the sword at his waist and blocked the attack.

The sword was three feet long, double-edged, and gleamed with chilling light. One look was enough to tell it was no ordinary weapon.

Doichi Hyuga had spent considerable time and effort forging this precious sword. It had been made with many rare materials, and its name was: Dao Lord!

A foul wind rose around him as a group of puppets leaped above Doichi Hyuga. Each held dual blades, leaving him nowhere to evade.

A white barrier spun at high speed, countless sword shadows rotating and slicing within it. The puppets were instantly shredded into fragments!

Another group of puppets charged forward and surrounded Doichi Hyuga once more.

The puppet leader appeared atop a tree, a ring of glowing spheres materializing before him.

The phantom of the sword in his hand flickered, swiftly splitting into more than a hundred blades. Their tips pointed outward, protecting Doichi Hyuga at the center.

This technique was driven by the metal energy of the Five Elements and had taken shape after drawing inspiration from the Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique.

"Kill!"

Doichi Hyuga shouted, and the sword shadows swept forth like a raging flood, howling across the ground.

The surrounding puppets were blasted into pieces one after another by sword qi. The puppet leader's light spheres were instantly pierced and exploded, injuring many more puppets.

The hundred sword shadows continued onward, tearing apart the puppet leader and trapping Otsutsuki Zhenlan within their encirclement.

Everything had happened too quickly. Otsutsuki Zhenlan was so stunned that he failed to react.

"Sir! Do you have anything else to say?"

Doichi Hyuga looked at the old man trapped in a hopeless situation and asked with a smile.

"I never expected you to be so powerful, nor for your techniques to be anything other than the Hyuga Clan's Gentle Fist! This old man has nothing to say. Kill me!"

Otsutsuki Zhenlan's face was ashen as he lowered his head and waited for death.

"I'll spare you this time out of respect for your ancestor! But if you people on the moon cause trouble for our Hyuga Clan again, I won't be so easy to talk to!"

Doichi Hyuga waved his hand, dispelling the sword formation, and departed with casual grace.

Otsutsuki Zhenlan stood there blankly for a moment before boarding a flying puppet and swiftly leaving!

Doichi Hyuga's presence vanished completely as he followed from far behind.

This technique countered all manner of sensory arts, directly merging him with the aura of nature.

Everyone hated schemers, yet everyone was a schemer themselves!

After following for roughly half a day, Otsutsuki Zhenlan, seated atop the puppet bird, suddenly dove downward.

Byakugan! Open!

Within his field of vision, the puppet bird entered a valley and landed before a cave at its bottom.

Otsutsuki Zhenlan led several puppets into the cave, traveling downward along a sloping path until he finally stopped beside a pool emitting a faint green glow.

Otsutsuki Zhenlan and the puppets jumped directly into the pool and vanished.

A moment later, Doichi Hyuga revealed himself and scooped up some water from the pool to inspect it.

The water in his hand quickly disappeared. This place was more like a barrier technique that condensed Natural Energy. Or rather, a formation!

For a teleportation array to endure for thousands of years, only a formation could accomplish it.

Doichi Hyuga inspected the surroundings and discovered a character at the top of the stalactite cave: A! In the Ninja World, its general meaning was: beginning!

A common term formed from it was A-Un; one represented the beginning, while the other represented the end.

Using his Byakugan, he carefully observed the details of the formation and finally confirmed that the character "A" was its formation eye.

Doichi Hyuga stopped looking and turned to leap into the green pool.

He continued falling downward, passing through a curtain of water and entering a space filled with glowing spheres and stone spheres. Doichi Hyuga remembered that these glowing spheres were all genjutsu traps called: Memory Cage.

He jumped across the stone spheres as he fell downward, unable to tell how deep he had descended. Yet in reality, his body had been continuously rising.

This distortion of direction was rather uncomfortable.

After traveling for several minutes, he saw a patch of faint blue light ahead.

When he arrived, he found a pool of blue water.

He jumped in again and continued falling for several minutes before emerging from the pool. A cave lay before him.

Doichi Hyuga scanned the area and found the character "Un" on the cave ceiling!

He proceeded through the cave, passing a large blue crab sleeping along the way.

Doichi Hyuga ignored it. The beast could not detect him.

He saw light ahead. Exiting the cave, he found a vast sea before him!

Doichi Hyuga stepped onto the Dao Lord Sword and flew away at high speed without a sound.

He used the Sage Chakra within his body to draw upon the wind-aspected Natural Energy outside. That was Doichi Hyuga's sword flight technique.

He flew over seas and forests, passing beautiful scenery along the way. Nearly every kind of terrain could be found here; it was quite a good place for a leisurely vacation.

An hour later, a vast stretch of village ruins appeared ahead.

Otsutsuki Zhenlan and the others had already arrived at a distant mountain, upon which stood an enormous palace complex.

Doichi Hyuga landed in the center of the village and entered the main hall of a shrine.

After looking around, he found some pictographic writing.

Its general meaning was: should the human order of Earth collapse, the Tenseigan would revive and use its immense power to annihilate humanity on Earth.

He walked before the statue of Hamura Ōtsutsuki, smashed the stone slab, and revealed stairs leading to a hidden chamber.

Doichi Hyuga descended. The space inside was enormous, filled with rounded burial mounds. They stretched beyond sight, and he could not tell how many graves there were.

In the original story, the Moon Ōtsutsuki had likely numbered more than tens of thousands at their peak.

When the Moon Ōtsutsuki branch family and main family had gone to war, the armies on both sides had stretched beyond the horizon.

"Humanity is always marching toward self-destruction. What a truly tragic fate!"

Doichi Hyuga sighed.

Heh. You don't want to meet me? Fine. The important thing is to handle business first.

He lingered for a moment. Seeing that a certain schemer had no intention of showing himself, Doichi Hyuga was not disappointed and simply turned to leave.

After leaving the shrine, Doichi Hyuga mounted the Dao Lord Sword and shot into the sky, disappearing beyond the horizon.

"Great Elder! The mission failed!"

Otsutsuki Zhenlan wore a shameful expression, feeling too embarrassed to face the two people before him.

"Zhenlan, explain the situation in detail!"

Otsutsuki Zhenlan carefully recounted his experience during the mission, and the Great Elder's brow gradually furrowed.

"This is not your fault. Our intelligence was insufficient, and we underestimated the matter!"

The Great Elder sighed.

"With such a figure among Earth's Hyuga Clan, I'm afraid we will have no chance to obtain the Byakugan in our lifetimes! This mission can only be entrusted to Toneri!"

Otsutsuki Toneri patted his chest in assurance, a confident smile on his face.

The three parted ways and returned to rest.

The Giant Tenseigan had been drawing him toward it all along, as though it hoped he would approach.

After the three Ōtsutsuki had fallen asleep, Doichi Hyuga slipped into their room.

The souls of all three were directly imprisoned within their spiritual platforms, completely severing the connection between soul and body. This technique was not complicated, but it could trap them for at least a week.
