The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, had a pipe clenched between his lips. After listening to the ANBU's report, he fell into brief contemplation.
The ANBU member who had just delivered the report stood respectfully to one side, awaiting further instructions from the Hokage.
After a moment of silence, Hiruzen Sarutobi finally spoke again:
"Bring me the medical personnel responsible for treating Naruto Uzumaki."
"Yes!"
The ANBU ninja accepted the order and left.
Hiruzen Sarutobi rose to his feet and looked through the window at the sunlit streets outside, unable to stop himself from muttering inwardly:
"Ye Fan actually managed to calm Naruto Uzumaki down. What secrets is that boy hiding?"
Just moments ago, the ANBU member who had left had reported Naruto Uzumaki's latest condition at the hospital.
When he heard that Naruto Uzumaki had fallen peacefully asleep, Hiruzen Sarutobi quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
But when he heard that it was Ye Fan's doing, suspicion immediately rose in his heart.
