Night had grown deep.
On a deserted hillside stood two inconspicuous tents.
Inside one tent, Hanabi Hyuga turned over.
By the light of the campfire outside, Izumi Uchiha could be seen resting her head on her palm with her eyes closed, though it was impossible to tell whether she was asleep.
Hanabi blinked, then quietly sat up.
She simply could not fall asleep!
Just as she was about to step outside for some air, Izumi opened her eyes as well.
"Hanabi, where are you going?" Izumi asked.
"Izumi, you weren't asleep either?" Hanabi immediately scooted over with a grin.
"It's late. You mustn't wander off alone," Izumi reminded her.
"I know. I was just thinking of going outside for some air and adding some wood to the campfire," Hanabi said hurriedly.
"I don't know why, but I've been feeling restless," Izumi said as she sat up as well.
"Izumi, is something troubling you?"
Hanabi Hyuga, who was not sleepy in the slightest, had been wanting someone to talk to.
She had said she was going outside for air, but in truth, she wanted to see whether Ye Fan in the other tent was asleep.
"It feels strange. I keep feeling as though something is about to happen," Izumi said with a frown.
"Could enemies be coming to ambush us again?" Hanabi became even more alert.
"I don't know!"
"Then I'll take a look."
As she spoke, Hanabi activated her Pure Moon Eye.
In an instant, everything around the tent came into Hanabi's view.
Even the pitch-black night outside could not hinder those pair of eyes capable of seeing through things.
From birds and beasts to flowers, grass, and insects, nothing could hide beneath Hanabi's Kekkei Genkai.
