After about the time it took for an incense stick to burn, Tsunade indeed arrived with Kumogakure's envoys. There were three of them in total.
But upon seeing the condition of the two Jinchuriki, the atmosphere immediately became awkward.
"Is this how Konoha treats its guests?" Samui, the leader of the envoys, looked displeased as she stared at Tsunade.
Before coming here, Konoha's Fifth Hokage had assured them that the two Jinchuriki were fine and had not been mistreated.
"Ye Fan, what is going on?" Tsunade's expression darkened.
"Samui, we did this to ourselves. It has nothing to do with Konoha," Yugito Nii hurriedly said.
"Lord Raikage sent me to bring you back. You haven't been mistreated here, have you?" Samui asked.
"No, we've been treated very well here. We just got a little too carried away while warming up with Killer B earlier," Yugito Nii hurriedly took the blame upon herself.
Samui's gaze swept over the two Jinchuriki before she said again, "Konoha has agreed to let you leave with me. We should go now. Lord Raikage is very worried about you."
It was nighttime. They could have stayed the night, but to prevent any unexpected developments, Samui decided it was better to leave Konoha first.
"Can we leave?" Yugito Nii looked at Ye Fan.
"Go ahead," Ye Fan said indifferently.
He had already overheard Tsunade's discussion with the envoys. Although Konoha had not demanded any ransom, it had made one request: Kumogakure had to place Shimura Danzō on its wanted list.
"Sir, I would like to ask one more time. What will it take for you to return our Tailed Beasts to us?" Yugito Nii asked again.
"You really are persistent. Fine. If you stay by my side and work for me, I'll return Two-Tails Matatabi to you."
