The powerful chakra pressure not only startled Tsunade, who was working in her office, but also Jiraiya, who was gathering material beside the bathhouse.
"This chakra has actually surpassed the Nine-Tails. Tsunade, what's going on?"
Jiraiya had shed his usual carefree manner, his face now grave.
"It's that kid's Ninja Hound," Tsunade replied simply.
That kid is already enough of a monster. How is even his Ninja Hound like this? Jiraiya grumbled inwardly.
"Jiraiya, do you think it might self-destruct?"
Tsunade's sudden question truly gave Jiraiya a fright.
Jiraiya raised his head and looked at the Ninja Hound high in the sky. To be honest, he had no confidence at all.
With chakra this powerful, if it self-destructed, Konoha Village probably would not survive.
"Looks like we need to get it away from here," Jiraiya said after a brief silence.
"Do you have an idea?" Tsunade asked.
"Leave it to me!"
Jiraiya suddenly moved, his wooden sandals clattering as he sprinted wildly across the rooftops.
Summoning Jutsu!
A massive toad appeared out of thin air amid a cloud of white smoke.
Standing atop the toad's head, Jiraiya said, "Bunta, send me up there!"
"Jiraiya, what kind of monster did you provoke this time?" the enormous red toad asked in human speech.
Whoosh!
With Gamabunta's help, Jiraiya shot toward the Ninja Hound in the sky.
But before he could get close, a hurricane swept over him and hurled him far, far away.
"Jiraiya!"
Gamabunta watched Jiraiya vanish from sight, but could do nothing to help.
Just then, a dazzling white light lit up the sky.
It was as though an immensely powerful flash bomb had exploded in midair, leaving everyone unable to open their eyes.
After the light faded, everyone stared into the sky in utter shock.
