"Did you see that just now?"
After Care of Magical Creatures ended, Dean approached Harry, his face still flushed with the excitement of flying, and spoke in a low voice.
"See what?" Harry asked, puzzled.
"A Dementor!" Dean replied. "We saw a Dementor just now. A Slytherin boy nearly got attacked."
"Why?" Harry hadn't seen any Dementors while they were flying, so he asked curiously.
Dean said with a mischievous grin, "That boy flew too close to the entrance, and a Dementor suddenly swooped out of a dark corner."
"If we hadn't warned him, it would've sucked all his happiness away and left him suffering in the darkness."
Dean paused, then asked, "Do you know who it was?"
"Someone we know, then?" Ron Weasley asked from beside them.
Dean chuckled and glanced back at Goyle, who looked pale and distracted. "There. That unlucky sod."
Harry and the others turned to look and immediately understood.
Goyle really did look shaken.
Harry and Ron Weasley exchanged a glance, mischievous smiles spreading across their faces.
"Look! A Dementor! It's coming!"
As Goyle approached with Crabbe and Draco, Harry, Ron Weasley, and Sirius Black shouted in perfect unison, putting on frightened expressions.
At their words, sparks of lightning instantly burst around Draco Malfoy as he prepared to strike at the approaching Dementor.
Crabbe went pale and drew his wand with a trembling hand, seemingly ready to fight it.
Goyle, however, turned deathly pale, as though utterly terrified. He ran off screaming, "No! Don't come after me!"
His voice was piercing!
More importantly, Goyle had actually run away.
Draco Malfoy, who had been preparing to fight, was completely taken aback.
