Harry Potter returned with the Golden Egg to a warm welcome, waves of cheers ringing throughout the common room.
The same was true in the Slytherin Common Room and the Hufflepuff common room.
"Harry, hurry up and open it! What clue is inside the Golden Egg?" Dean urged as he watched everyone pass the egg around.
Harry was curious too. What important clue was hidden inside the Golden Egg?
And so, the Golden Egg returned to Harry's hands.
"I'm going to open it," Harry said with a smile at everyone.
"Hurry up, then," Ron Weasley urged.
Harry smiled and stopped stalling, quickly opening the Golden Egg.
In an instant, a piercing, headache-inducing sound burst out of the Golden Egg, catching everyone off guard.
Dean turned pale and clapped his hands over his ears, screaming, "God, can someone tell me what's happening?"
Hermione Granger wanted to run as far away as possible, and shouted to Harry, "Harry, close the Golden Egg!"
The sound had startled Harry and left him feeling awful too. Seeing everyone's distress, he hurriedly shut the Golden Egg.
At almost the same moment, similar sounds rang out elsewhere in Hogwarts.
Everyone who wanted to discover the secret hidden inside the Golden Egg had been caught off guard.
"What the hell was that?"
"A woman in red screaming from beyond the grave?"
"That was unbearable."
Ron Weasley and the others complained, all frightened by the sudden turn of events.
Mostly, it was because the sound was simply too unnerving.
"Is that the clue for the Second Task?" Sirius Black, who had remained relatively calm, asked once the sound stopped.
Harry looked rather ill. Clutching the Golden Egg, he said, "I'd much rather have a gentler voice, something easier on my ears."
