They liked living in darkness and moving through it.

Night was their city that never slept.

But they feared light, crosses, and Holy Light.

Crosses were therefore excellent for dealing with vampires, as were holy water and weapons made of silver.

For Elemental Mages, however, Light Magic was a vampire's natural nemesis.

I doubted any vampire would want to come into contact with a Light Magic mage.

Perhaps Dark Element mages would interest them more.

The Light Fist was an invention of Fred and George's. It could reflect certain kinds of Dark Magic and even dispel some negative-energy spells on contact.

This was because it possessed light properties, and silver had been mixed into its materials.

That would give them another powerful weapon against the vampires.
