So close?
Li Wenchuan got up and walked out the front door, into the villa's private garden, and looked toward the garden of the villa opposite.
The curtains on the second floor across the way were slowly drawn open. Then the window was opened, revealing a familiar face.
They gazed at each other from afar, separated by an intersection, and Li Wenchuan suddenly got the strange feeling that one was the Cowherd and the other the Weaver Girl. He immediately dismissed the bizarre thought. He must have seen Jiang Hansheng in women's clothing too many times lately; even his associations had become so unconventional.
Jiang Hansheng leaned half his body out the window and smiled in Li Wenchuan's direction. For some reason, Li Wenchuan thought of another classic scene—Pan Jinlian opening her window and startling Ximen Qing.
Damn it. Li Wenchuan forced a stiff smile in response.
"What a coincidence," Jiang Hansheng greeted him. He only knew that Li Wenchuan was moving, not where he was moving to. If they had merely been ordinary friends, there would have been nothing strange about asking, but now that there was something more in his heart, he did not dare ask rashly.
He would find out eventually anyway. There was no need to rush.
Li Wenchuan walked to the edge of the garden. Besides ivy, several morning glories wound around the wall. They had only bloomed that morning, their petals still beaded with morning dew, as though smiling at the two of them.
"You actually live here? I thought..." Li Wenchuan tilted his head. "My father, for example, lives up in the mountains."
Jiang Hansheng's family was no ordinary family either. That was one of the foundations that had kept him firmly established in the entertainment industry. A family like that
