Arkham Asylum's underground facility was, more accurately, a large storage room. It had washing machines for cleaning bedding and clothes, as well as an incinerator for burning trash.
Hugo Strange walked at the front, leading Jeremiah toward the morgue. The asylum also had a place to store corpses. It was not large, but it had plenty of freezer compartments.
"This place really is... a little run-down."
Jeremiah looked at the cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling and the dust gathered in places. The metal storage lockers were covered in dark red rust that, at a glance, looked like dried blood.
Hearing that, Strange smiled. "Arkham Asylum has been around for a long time, after all. Maintaining this place costs a lot of money, and it is rarely used."
Strange unlocked the door with his keys and pushed open the morgue entrance. It was more like a massive cold storage room, even with the stainless-steel corpse freezers still shut.
The morgue remained filled with a biting chill. The bottom row of freezer compartments had already frozen into solid blocks of ice.
"All right, this is the infamous Joker. I do not know where you got your information, but knowing that he is here makes it a secret."
Strange walked to a freezer compartment and yanked it open. It slid out like a large drawer, with a silvery-white body bag lying quietly inside.
As Jeremiah watched the freezer open, he hurried over and stared curiously at the body bag within.
Strange smiled, stepped back, and reached out to unzip the body bag.
Dark green hair fell messily across the Joker's face like dried seaweed. That grotesque grin sent chills down the spine, as though his maniacal laughter could still be heard.
"Relax. He is just a corpse now..." Strange reassured him,
