"You didn't even ask who they were?"
Miao Mu pulled Brucie through Wayne Tower. The place was like a maze, which actually made things more convenient.
"Talons. People from the Court of Owls. I've fought them before. They're something special—apparently impossible to kill."
Brucie spoke as she ran alongside Miao Mu.
Though she said they could not be killed, she had indeed killed a Talon using certain special methods.
Beneath the ruined Batcave lay a Talon's corpse, sealed inside a cryogenic tank that had been welded shut. Even a laser cutter could not open it.
Of course, she had not tried high-temperature treatment, because she needed that corpse to study the secret of "immortality."
"No need to worry about that. You won't blame me for killing people, will you?" Miao Mu stopped and looked at the glass corridor ahead.
"They don't really count as people. You have a way?" Brucie asked, pulling out two Batarangs as she watched the corridor.
"I don't know. But a long time ago, someone used this method to kill these supposedly immortal Talons!"
Miao Mu raised Lion King's Sidearm and pulled the trigger at the ceiling. The regeneration-suppressing ability really was useful.
The Talon hidden in the ceiling was struck by a bullet and fell from above, struggling. Two Batarangs immediately flew over and pinned his arms, leaving him unable to grab anything.
"Great teamwork. Behind us!" Miao Mu praised her, then turned and fired as Brucie threw a flashbang.
A brilliant flash erupted, bullets flew, and the cylinder clicked empty. Six rounds were ultimately a little too few.
Miao Mu opened the cylinder and reloaded.
The glass door of the office behind them shattered with a crash. A Talon burst through, his crossbow aimed at Miao Mu's head.
Brucie raised her leg and kicked
