The conference room door was pushed open.
Happy Hogan walked in first, pulled out a chair, and set it in place. Obadiah Stane entered behind him.
When he saw Tony Stark, the joy on his face was impossible to hide. He was genuinely delighted.
He still needed Tony Stark. He needed Tony Stark's brilliant mind to help him build an energy reactor. Those idiots did not deserve to be called scientists; they were all worthless mediocrities.
"Tony..." Obadiah Stane walked over and embraced Tony Stark warmly, giving his back a hard pat.
"Ow. What are you wearing?"
Obadiah Stane touched the sturdy metal armor and asked in surprise. Tony Stark pulled free from his embrace.
"Nothing. Just something for self-defense. You know, after everything that happened, I'm scared." Tony Stark nodded.

But the moment Obadiah Stane sat down, Tony Stark's words set him off.
"I want to shut down the weapons division."
"Hm... Hm? Hm! What did you say?"
Obadiah Stane stared at Tony Stark in disbelief. Their business group had been built on arms dealing!
If they shut down the weapons division, what the hell were they supposed to live on?
Had this guy been scared stupid? Had his brain turned to mush? Or had he been playing with women so much lately that he had blown his brains out along with everything else?
"I said, shut down the weapons division. Stark Industries will never manufacture weapons again. What do you think?"
Tony Stark asked calmly.
Even now, he still retained a measure of trust in Obadiah Stane. If Obadiah Stane supported him, he
