"Hey, when do you guys think the teachers for our two classes are actually going to show up? Didn't they say the class assignments would be finished in the morning? It's almost noon now, and the teachers still aren't here. How long are we supposed to wait?"
Just as Qian and Kakashi were hurrying toward the school building, inside the building, in a tiered classroom, a boy whose build far surpassed others his age spoke up.
There was no lack of resentment in his tone.
Of course, more than that, there was anxiety.
They were only eleven or twelve years old, after all. Seeing everyone else in the classroom leave until only a scant few of them remained, how could they not be anxious?
Hearing his question, another boy echoed, "Exactly. Do our teachers have no sense of time at all? They're making us wait here with no word whatsoever."
"Yeah! Look at the other teams. Their teachers came ages ago. Only our two classes are left here waiting like fools. This is so annoying!"
"."
Chatter, chatter—
For a time, everyone in the classroom spoke at once, most of them denouncing Qian and Kakashi. Only one girl seemed unusually quiet.
She did not join the group complaining, but simply sat there in silence, not saying a word.
However, from the way her gaze occasionally flicked toward the classroom door, it was clear that she was actually anxious deep down too; she simply was not showing it.
The sturdy boy who had spoken first seemed to notice how different she was and walked over. "Qinghua, aren't you anxious?"
Hearing this, Uchiha Qinghua shook her head and said, "I believe the teacher will come."
That was right. This girl was none other than the Uchiha shinobi whom Qian had seen yesterday
