Lin Du used his fusion power to acquire magical abilities, outmatched Kaecilius, and warned the sorcerers that Dormammu was coming. After reversing the destruction of the Hong Kong Sanctum, he rose to confront Dormammu while Wong and Mordo defended the Sanctum and its civilians.

• Lin Du fused with the Ancient One's magic and Kaecilius's dark abilities, then joined the Ancient One at Kamar-Taj and astonished its sorcerers with his rapid mastery of spells.
• Lin Du absorbed knowledge and power through touch in the Great Library, including the Eye of Agamotto, and defeated Kaecilius when he attacked the library.
• Lin Du destroyed Kaecilius and consumed a rift to the Dark Dimension, but Kaecilius escaped and enlisted Dormammu's aid.
• Lin Du drew on Dormammu's power during a spar with the Ancient One, prompting Dormammu to order Kaecilius to accelerate his invasion plan.

Lin Du became the new Sorcerer Supreme, mastered the Cosmic Cube and its stones, and defeated Loki’s attack on the Sanctums. Loki revealed that Thanos was coming to Blue Star, and Lin Du saw the coming conflict as a chance to test his ability to fuse Thanos’s power.

• Lin Du absorbed Dormammu’s energy, defeated him, and imprisoned Kaecilius and his followers in a Dark Dimension he created.
• The Ancient One named Lin Du the next Sorcerer Supreme, and Lin Du accepted the role and fused several magical arts into Boundless Domain.
• Lin Du accepted Nick Fury’s request to study the Cosmic Cube, gained new spatial powers from it, and took the Cube for himself.

• Lin Du joined Nick Fury and Black Widow at the attacked Sanctum, froze Loki’s controlled army, and defeated Loki with Mind Storm.
• Lin Du stopped Loki’s hidden spell and trapped him in an illusion, where Loki revealed that Thanos would come to Blue Star if he failed to recover the stones.
