Yet the expected spray of blood never came. What showed through the torn wounds was not flesh, blood, and internal organs, but dark brown flesh like rotten wood decayed for hundreds of millions of years.
Shriveled, cracked, utterly devoid of life or color within!
Had they been any other living beings, Jiang Shu's attack would not have left them the slightest chance of survival.
But strangely, the bodies of those fallen Ancient Barbarian Soldiers did not collapse. Instead, the violent Law Fragments and dark crimson currents filling the Canyon surged wildly into them.
The split wounds visibly wriggled shut, the dark brown flesh reconnecting and repairing itself.
In merely a few breaths, they stiffly crawled back to their feet.
Though their movements remained somewhat sluggish, there was an extra glimmer of animation in their eyes as they stared at Jiang Shu with venomous hatred.
"These aren't bodies of flesh and blood!"
Jiang Shu's heart stirred, and he had already reached a few conclusions.
The sensation transmitted through the Desolate Star Halberd was exceedingly strange, as though he had struck some bizarre substance that was tough yet completely devoid of moisture.
"To truly kill them, simply severing their bodies is useless."
"These things are an aberrant form of life spawned from the residual Laws here, the battlefield's Killing Intent, and unyielding will. To erase them completely, we can only sever the spiritual source at their core!"
He understood in an instant and shouted sharply at the others, "Attack with the power of Laws!"
"Directly extinguish that spark of intelligence in their sea of consciousness. Physical attacks are ineffective against them!"
His voice rang clear, reaching every genius amid the
