As Jiang Shu took a step forward, a hazy miniature Spatial Vortex, continuously collapsing and annihilating itself, floated into existence.
Most of the three phantoms' savage attacks fell into that miniature vortex. Their energy was twisted and diverted, then swallowed by a force that could not be destroyed.
The violent spatial collision triggered a chain reaction, instantly filling this already fragile region with spiderweb-like space cracks.
The energy storm swept outward, flinging mud high into the air and shearing away huge portions of the hard black stone pillars.
Yet some of the claw shadows and fist force still pierced through the spatial deflection, striking Jiang Shu's battered body with vicious force.
Pfft!
Under the tremendous impact, Jiang Shu could not help staggering two steps back.
His chest and ribs caved in at once. The sound of shattering bones was clearly audible, and blood sprayed from his mouth again, drawing a horrifying crimson line through the air before he crashed into a patch of mud and sent filth splashing everywhere.
Yet his mind remained as clear as ever.
The Desolate Star Halberd lay horizontally before him.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Several Killing Intent blades imbued with cold, corrosive power skimmed past the halberd's edge.
The three phantoms let out inhuman roars and lunged again. Their movements were more coordinated than before, clearly adapting rapidly to the rules of this world.
More terrifyingly, they seemed to realize that Jiang Shu was already at the end of his tether. No longer attacking separately, they concentrated their strength and struck at his vital points from three tricky angles, charging toward his head, heart, and dantian!
At the brink of life and death, the imprint buried deep within his sea of consciousness and closely connected to the Heart of Space suddenly emitted an unprecedentedly faint resonance under
