Xiao Yu used the Judgment Room to control Bai Yue and Hua Lian while advancing within the Hehuan Sect and gathering allies. After becoming Zhang Ziling’s disciple, he went to aid Lü Ling'er when Lin Meng trapped her on Northern Jiangliu Mountain.

• Xiao Yu claimed Bai Yue as a captive, brought her into the Judgment Room, and began using her Innate Dharma Body as he sought revenge.
• Xiao Yu escaped the Hehuan Sect stronghold, joined a herb-gathering mission, and killed three cultivators who threatened Bai Yue before taking her to safety.
• Xiao Yu reached Elder Wu’s alchemy room, discovered Hua Lian, and began refining pills while Bai Yue and Hua Lian plotted to poison him.
• Bai Yue’s killing intent triggered Judgment Mode, and Xiao Yu gained the Nine Yang Divine Body and Elysian Union Art before Zhang Ziling tested his alchemy and protected the grounds with a formation.
• Xiao Yu rescued Zhao Hongye and three mortal women from Elder Wu’s Jade Maiden Gourd, judged Hua Lian, and learned she had pledged herself to Lin Ce.
• Xiao Yu warned Zhang Ziling about Bai Yue and the threat near Jiangliu City, became her disciple, and was ordered to interrogate Jade Maiden Sect captives and map their former home.
• Mei Chunlan and Ma Cuihong attacked Xiao Yu, and he killed them before considering whether to send the rescued women away.
• Xiao Yu traded pills with Lü Rui for her Puppet Rat, then went to help Lü Ling'er, who was trapped with survivors on Northern Jiangliu Mountain by Lin Meng and the Profound Spirit Sect.

Xiao Yu captured and judged Wang Mei, traveled to Jiangliu City to obtain an artifact for Zhang Ziling, and captured Ye Zimei on his return. After he exposed Ye Zhirou's infiltration, Zhang Ziling's ambush ended with both elders dead and her ordering Xiao Yu to flee.

• Xiao Yu helped Li Yunma repel Lin Meng, obtained custody of Wang Mei, and healed and judged her to gain the Thunderwalking Art and another Judgment Room.
• Zhang Ziling sent Xiao Yu to Jiangliu City to obtain an offensive Dharma Artifact from Fire Monk, and Xiao Yu concealed his companions in the Jade Maiden Gourd before leaving.
• Xiao Yu took Lingxin and the orphans to the Li Residence, where Li Qingyun killed Li Wancai and reunited with Han Qiushui.
• Xiao Yu treated Han Qiushui, removed her and Li Qingyun from the residence, and learned from Bai Yue about Ye Zimei and the Spirit Vein beneath the Jade Maiden Sect.
• Fire Monk forged the Ghost Wolf Lock in exchange for Xiao Yu agreeing to take Huo Feng into the Ten Thousand Demons Secret Realm and find him a fire-attributed spirit beast.
• Xiao Yu killed Ye Zimei's two companions, captured her with the Ghost Wolf Lock and the Thousand Fragrances, Ten Thousand Beauties Painting, and later reached Qi Refining, Seventh Layer.
• Xiao Yu identified Ye Zhirou inside the Hehuan Sect Branch, and Zhang Ziling enlisted Elder Meng and Elder Liu to trap and kill her.
• Xiao Yu and Wang Mei disrupted the battle and helped turn the elders against Ye Zhirou, but Ye Zhirou killed both elders, blasted Zhang Ziling, and forced her to tell Xiao Yu to run.
