Sais Plane, Devon Highlands.

The dark-red earth was riddled with countless cracks. Scarlet mist billowed from them, spreading throughout the plane.

Any life or object touched by the scarlet mist either withered and died in an instant or twisted and mutated into a mindless killing machine.

Infected animals grew enormous fangs in their mouths, and deformed lumps of flesh covered their bodies. Red eyes would occasionally appear on the bloody lumps, each one swiveling as if observing the world around it.

Infected plants tore free of their roots and crawled across the ground on blood-red tendrils. Their leaves grew razor-sharp, like steel blades.

Countless infected creatures like these mindlessly hunted down other life-forms, killing and devouring them.

This slaughter continued without pause across the outskirts of the Devon Highlands.

The dark clouds overhead mingled with red mist, blotting out the sun, moon, and stars. The entire plane lay shrouded in dark red.

Scarlet blood rain drifted down from above now and then.

Countless Demons faced off before a vast passageway. They stared at it with unconcealed greed
