This whole day had been terrible. I'd gone to bed a little earlier than before, lay down at 1:30, and probably fell asleep around 2:00.

Then, a little after four, stomach pain woke me up. In the hour after that alone, I went to the bathroom four times. It was thinner than rice porridge, and my ass hurt like I had hemorrhoids...

Even when there was nothing left in my stomach, I still wanted to squat in the bathroom just to feel better. As soon as I ate anything, it came right back out, and it kept getting thinner.

Because of that, I only ate a small bowl of rice all day and drank water for the rest to stave off hunger. I wasn't planning to eat today anyway. I was a bit fat, so drinking water for a day wouldn't be a big problem, and it might even burn some fat.

When I threw up acidic water this morning, my teeth felt like they'd been corroded. They seemed to have gone soft and felt incredibly rough.

My teeth were better now, though.

Maybe I'd dug this hole for myself. These days, whenever my mind wandered, I might forget things. That little basin and those chopsticks—I'd meant to wash them, then forgot.

When I ate instant noodles last night, I washed them right then, using dish soap and rinsing them under running water.

I remembered that if things like that sat around too long, they could get loaded with bacteria, and dish soap couldn't wash it all away.

I couldn't remember how many days they'd been sitting there, but that was most likely what caused this.

This was the worst diarrhea I'd ever had in all my years!

Until I boiled those things in a big pot at least once,
