"Sorry!
I missed again!"
"Your fingers were putting force in a strange place again, weren't they?" Sendou said loudly as he looked at the apologetic Sawamura.
"A little!!"
"You really caught it perfectly...
Sendou-san! He!" Yui said somewhat haltingly.
"Grrrrr!!" Okumura was still seething.
"It's almost time to eat!
Throw ten more pitches!!" Sendou tossed the ball back to Sawamura.
"Yeah!!"
Ten pitches were not many, but they were enough for Sawamura to throw Number 7 and Number 11 several times each.
However, Wild Runs still appeared from time to time, especially with Number 11.
That left Sawamura looking unwilling, because Number 11 had pitched quite well in the previous game.
As soon as the ten pitches were up, Sendou stood and walked over.
No one else knew what Sendou said, but Sawamura relaxed.
"All right!
I'll do cool-down with you. Let's toss the ball around a little!" Sendou said to Sawamura.
"What does it feel like to wear a catcher's mitt?" Sawamura asked.
"Take it! You can wear it while we play catch!" Sendou said.
With a curious expression, Sawamura put on Miyuki's mitt.
"How is it?"
"It doesn't feel particularly different, but this thing is pretty thick!" Sawamura said, pounding the mitt with his right hand.
"Then I'm heading over!" Sendou said, waving at the fascinated Sawamura.
"No, no, no! I'll go over there!" Sawamura quickly ran to the home plate marker.
Seeing that Sawamura was in a playful mood, Sendou did not pay it much mind.
The two switched places and began playing catch.
For Sawamura, who had always been a pitcher, everything felt so novel.
"Sawamura! Do you want to become a catcher too?" Miyuki joked.
"No, no, no!
I'm just experiencing what it feels like to be Senior Miyuki!" Sawamura hurriedly shook his head.
"Hahaha!
