Yesterday, I mentioned that my lower lip had split from heatiness. Not only had it not healed today, I discovered that it looked like a crack in dry, chapped skin.
A piece of flesh was even missing. I couldn't close my mouth all day and had to keep licking my lower lip with my tongue, or it would hurt constantly.
The pain felt like an electric current running through my entire body.
I'd already been taking vitamins for three days, but it still hadn't improved.
The real bad luck came from the hairtail fish my mom made. I didn't think much of it at first, then realized I couldn't remove the fish bones with my lips at all. As a result, I swallowed several fish bones...
Once I realized it, I started clutching my neck and regurgitating.
After I threw everything up, I found that the inside of my throat hurt every time I swallowed saliva. Normally there was no foreign-body sensation, only when I swallowed something. I couldn't tell whether it was a foreign-body sensation or pain.
Judging from how it usually felt, the inside was probably injured...
I decided to take some anti-inflammatory medicine and observe it for a couple of days.
I felt so awful today that I couldn't concentrate, so I took a day off to see how things went.
The main issue was that the location was a bit awkward. It was slightly above where the base of my neck connected to my collarbone, so there was no way to stick a finger or anything else in to check the situation.
