"Sure, I really like making friends!"
Jerry did not refuse.
Since he had already decided to join Gryffindor, getting to know Harry in advance seemed like a good choice.
After all, as the future savior in Dumbledore's eyes, Harry was the student Dumbledore valued most at Hogwarts. Getting along well with Harry would definitely earn him points with Dumbledore.
Besides, Hogwarts only enrolled so few students each year, and there would be even fewer in each of the four Houses. He might even end up sharing a dormitory with Harry at night.
"Come on, he's in the compartment up ahead!"
Hermione grabbed Jerry and Neville and jogged toward the carriage behind them.
However, just as they reached the door of Harry's compartment and were about to open it, they heard arguing from inside.
"You'd better be more polite, or you'll end up following your parents' path. They didn't know what was good for them either. If you hang around riffraff like the Weasley Family or Hagrid, you'll be affected by them."
"Say that again."
"Oh, you want to fight, do you?"
Hermione, who was walking in front, pulled open the door. Jerry leaned in to look and saw that there were not just the two boys Hermione had mentioned, but five boys facing each other tensely inside the compartment.
One of them stood beside the seats. He wore glasses, had black hair and green eyes, and a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. That was obviously Harry.
The boy standing close beside Harry had the Weasley Family's distinctive red hair and blue eyes. He was undoubtedly Ron.
Jerry turned to look at the three boys opposite them, and a flicker of confusion crossed his face.
A pale, pointed-faced boy with light blond hair, followed by two burly lackeys—didn't that combination look rather like Harry's archenemy, Little Malfoy and his trio?
But he did not remember Little Malfoy's trio causing trouble for Harry and Ron on the train in the movie!
What was going on?
Had too much time passed, making him remember it wrong? Or had his appearance created a butterfly effect? Or was there some reason he did not know about?
"What are you doing? Are you going to fight? You're causing trouble before you've even reached the school!"
Hermione, who stood at the front of the three, looked at the situation inside the compartment with a stern expression.
"Three more helpers? Do you think having more people will make a difference?"
When Malfoy saw Jerry's group appear at the door, his previously calm expression changed slightly. He took a step back and put the tall, sturdy Goyle and Crabbe in front of him.
Goyle and Crabbe clearly did not take the little runts before them, each a head shorter than they were, seriously. Both stepped forward aggressively.
One blocked Harry and Ron, while the other blocked Hermione, Jerry, and Neville.
When the large Crabbe came to the doorway, Hermione's body tensed instinctively. Seeing this, Jerry temporarily set aside his doubts and reached out to pull Hermione behind him.
"We don't want to fight, but this doesn't seem to be your compartment!"
"That's right. You aren't welcome here. Please leave!"
Although Harry was somewhat afraid of Goyle's massive build, he bravely raised his voice in agreement after hearing Jerry's words.
"But we don't want to leave, do we, Goyle, Crabbe? We've eaten all our food, and it looks like you have plenty here. We'll leave after we finish eating!"
Little Malfoy, standing in the middle, pointed at the assorted snacks scattered across the compartment table and gave Goyle and Crabbe a meaningful look.
Goyle and Crabbe immediately understood. Goyle used his left hand to shove aside the slender Harry, while his right hand greedily reached for the snacks spread across the table.
Meanwhile, Crabbe raised both hands and shoved hard at Jerry, who stood in the doorway, seemingly intending to knock Jerry, Hermione, and Neville to the ground together.
"Ah!"
"Ah!"
Two cries of pain rang out in the compartment at the same time.
But they had not come from Harry or Jerry. They came from Goyle and Crabbe.
Just as Goyle reached for the snacks, Ron's pet Scabbers, hidden among them, seized the chance to dart out and bite Goyle's finger.
On the other side, when Jerry saw Crabbe reach out to shove him, a faint sneer appeared on his face. He extended both hands at the same time.
He was not planning to test his strength against the tall, muscular Crabbe. Instead, he interlocked all ten fingers with Crabbe's. Then, while Crabbe was still dumbfounded, Jerry suddenly exerted force with his wrists and pressed him down onto his knees.
All ten of Crabbe's fingers were being painfully pressed at once. The pain brought tears streaming down his face.
Wizards' bodies were different from ordinary people's. Missing an arm or a leg was no big deal, so Jerry had not held back much. That was why he had made Crabbe cry so quickly.
"Don't be in such a hurry to leave before we've finished talking!"
Seeing Goyle, who had shaken off Scabbers, and Little Malfoy panic and try to flee past him, Jerry sneered. He first hooked Goyle's foot with his right foot, tripping him before stepping on him, then freed one hand and used the grappling technique Golden Silk Entangling Wrist to subdue Little Malfoy in an instant.
Thus, the following scene appeared in the compartment.
Jerry's left hand was interlocked with Crabbe's fingers, pressing him to his knees with tears streaming down his face. His right hand twisted Little Malfoy's arm behind his back, holding him down in so much pain that he could not get up. Beneath his foot was Goyle, who had chipped a tooth and was howling while clutching his bitten finger.
The sight was immensely shocking!
A look at the reactions of the other four made that clear.
Harry, by the seats, and Ron, who had retrieved Scabbers, both swallowed hard. Hermione and Neville, standing in the aisle, had their mouths hanging open and their eyes wide.
Of them all, Hermione was undoubtedly the most surprised.
She had known Jerry the longest, and in her eyes, he had always been a very gentlemanly, polite, and gentle boy.
Before this, unless she asked him not to, he had always called her Ms. Granger.
"J-Jerry, how about letting them go first? They look like they're in a lot of pain!"
Seeing that all three seemed to be crying, Hermione cautiously suggested.
"Oh? Is that so? Then I'm truly sorry. It seems I used too much force. Actually, I hate fighting most of all. It's just that with the way you were acting, I didn't have much choice!"
Jerry did not refuse Hermione's suggestion. Instead, he smiled as he explained himself to Little Malfoy's trio, then slowly released his hands and feet.
Unfortunately, after hearing Jerry's explanation and seeing his smiling face, Little Malfoy's trio shuddered at the same time and retreated in terror into the corner beside the compartment door.
