With no job delays and no worries about school, he truly had plenty of time to work out in this life.
Actually, he had always been interested in martial arts in his previous life. As a child, he could play with a stick for half a day, imagining himself to be an unrivaled master.
When he got a little older, he fell in love with Jeet Kune Do after watching Bruce Lee's movies. He even used his allowance to buy a Jeet Kune Do manual and secretly practiced on his own.
In college, he joined a martial arts club, received some relatively orthodox instruction, and even represented the club in competitions and won awards.
But after graduation, work became far too busy, and he let it all fall by the wayside.
After being reborn in this life, free from the pressures of making a living, he began training his body early on. That was how he had developed his current lean, muscular physique.
He might not have been able to handle those tall, burly armed robbers on the school bus, but dealing with a few thirteen- or fourteen-year-old boys was no great problem.
Besides, ever since he had fused with the Wizard Bloodline, he felt that his body had undergone some wondrous changes as well.
It was not that he had become stronger or faster, but rather that it felt as though the very essence of his life had been elevated.
That made sense. Wizards might not have much greater physical strength than ordinary people, but their bodies were incredibly resilient.
Losing an arm or breaking a leg was common enough. As long as they did not die immediately, they could hold on until magic and potions reattached everything.
"What's this idiot doing? Does he think taking off his clothes means he can beat us?"
The fat boy leading them sneered.
"I think that little body of his wants to get intimately acquainted with my fist!"
Another boy maliciously flashed his sandbag-sized fist, then actually threw a punch at Jerry's stomach.
Jerry slid backward and dodged the attack. Then, with a lightning-fast kick, he struck the boy in the waist. With just one kick, he sent him sprawling to the ground.
"Off you go!"
Without pausing after that kick, he immediately followed with a smooth spinning hook kick, viciously lashing the face of another boy who had yet to react and efficiently knocking down a second one.
Jerry was only eleven, but his muscles gave him considerably more strength than these thirteen- and fourteen-year-old boys.
On top of that, he had practiced Jeet Kune Do diligently for years. Many of the moves had become second nature to him, and he was even better than he had been when competing in college in his previous life.
These boys, who spent all day doing nothing but bullying the weak, were naturally no match for him.
Seeing his two lackeys scream and fall, the fat boy in the lead let out a roar and charged at Jerry.
He was a head taller than Jerry and more than twice his size. He believed that as long as he rammed into Jerry and followed up by crushing him beneath his weight, Jerry would be unable to move.
"Too naive!"
Facing the charging fat boy, Jerry gave a cold laugh. Rather than dodge, he stepped in low, cut into the fat boy's centerline, took a deep breath, drove off with his right foot, twisted his waist, thrust his hips, rolled his shoulder, and punched...
A tremendous force erupted in an instant, landing directly on the fat boy's abdomen and sending him stumbling back more than two meters before he dropped onto the ground on his backside.
The other orphans watching were stunned as they looked at the orphanage trio rolling on the ground and howling in pain after Jerry had taken them down so easily.
They had never expected the usually terrifying trio to end up like this, much less that the normally quiet and reserved Jerry would be so formidable.
"What are you waiting for? Settle your grudges and vent your grievances!"
Jerry picked up his clothes and put them back on, reminding the other orphans who were still standing there in a daze.
He had only taken off his clothes because he was worried about getting them dirty. McGonagall would be coming for a home visit soon, and he could not exactly greet her covered in dust.
He had simply overestimated the three boys.
These three boys gained pleasure and comfort only by bullying the weak. How could they possibly have any real fighting spirit? After taking just one hit from him, they were in too much pain to dare fight him again.
In truth, if the three boys had been tougher and endured the pain to gang up on him together, he really would have had to put in some effort.
Hearing Jerry's reminder, the orphans who had long been accustomed to being bullied immediately brightened. After exchanging glances, they cautiously approached the three boys groaning on the ground, and then...
Watching the three boys get punched and kicked by the crowd of orphans, Jerry could not help but sigh.
"Unity is strength!"
Jerry had held back somewhat when he attacked. Given the three boys' somewhat chubby bodies, they should not have suffered anything serious by now.
But against the combined beating of dozens of orphans, they were no match at all. Before long, they were beaten until their heads were covered in lumps.
Two or three orphans certainly would not have been a match for the three boys. But when dozens of orphans joined together, even if the three boys were older and sturdier, they would inevitably be unable to stand against them.
Once the fear in your heart was broken, you would discover that the seemingly invincible people standing high above you were not all that much after all.
When Jerry had swiftly defeated the orphanage trio, the other orphans' fear of them had already been mostly dispelled.
After this round of group beating, Jerry believed that even if he was no longer at the orphanage in the future, they would not be afraid of the trio again.
"I actually gained Little Red Stars!"
After getting dressed, Jerry opened the panel and looked in surprise at the number of Little Red Stars, which had changed from 1000 after his transmigration to 1005.
He had originally thought that Little Red Stars could only be obtained in the main world. He had not expected that he could gain them after entering a Small World as well.
That was quite good. At the very least, he had gained another world where he could obtain Little Red Stars.
After closing the panel, Jerry looked toward the school gate again and discovered that a tabby cat had somehow climbed onto the wall. It was poking its head out and observing something over here.
Could that be Professor McGonagall in cat form?
Jerry casually turned his head away, his eyes shifting as he called out to the orphans.
"Alright, you can stop now!"
The orphans immediately stopped beating the three boys. They still trusted Jerry greatly after seeing him easily defeat the trio just moments ago.
"Fighting is wrong. But when faced with bullying and injustice, we must still have the courage to resist.
Courage is our most precious quality. I hope you can all be braver in the future!"
Although the orphans did not completely understand, they still nodded in strong agreement.
Jerry smiled, then turned to the three bruised and swollen boys.
"Before this, you relied on being a little older to run wild in the orphanage and bully the younger children. Consider today a lesson for you.
We are all orphans. As long as you admit your mistakes and change, everyone will still accept you in the future. Isn't that right?"
Seeing the dangerous look in Jerry's eyes, the three battered boys did not dare hesitate and hurriedly replied.
"Ah, yes, yes, yes!"
