Jerry pulled out his wand and pointed it at a rat passing by nearby. A flash of magical light shot out, instantly turning it into a stone.
"I won't tell you my real identity. I've seen plenty of movies. Once national agencies like yours learn my real identity, you'll lock me up and dissect me like some alien.
"And don't try to arrest me by force. My magic is no joke. Don't blame me if I turn all of you into stone—or pigs!"
Jerry definitely could not turn people into pigs with his current magical abilities, but during this time, he had gained a deeper understanding of cross-species transfiguration.
Turning a small animal like a rat into another object of roughly the same size was still no problem.
Transforming one substance into another of the same kind was no longer difficult for Jerry, as long as the object was not too large. What he was working on now was cross-species transfiguration.
The reason he said that was to add a little intimidation and, incidentally, demonstrate how unusual he was.

Originally, Jerry had merely seemed to her like a child with a few special abilities who could fly on a broomstick. While such a child had some skills, she had not taken him too seriously.
