"Good morning, Vice Guild Master!"

As soon as Jerry entered the guild, he saw Mirajane standing by the guild bar, smiling and waving at him.

He had yet to officially take over as Guild Master, but everyone already knew that he would be the next one. So whenever some of the guild's wizards saw him, they would warmly call him Vice Guild Master or the future Fourth Guild Master.

"Long time no see, Mirajane. Did the Guild Master come in today?"

Jerry smiled.

Mirajane froze for a moment, not understanding why Jerry said it had been a long time when they had met just yesterday. But she did not dwell on it and merely covered her mouth as she laughed.

"The Guild Master went to the Eastern Forest. He said that if anything comes up in the guild, you should handle it all. No need to look for him!"

"That old man really knows how to slack off."

Jerry shook his head helplessly.

Ever since Makarov had named him as his successor, aside from occasionally coming to the guild to drink and brag, he had basically spent all his time in the Eastern Forest reminiscing with his old friend—old lover—Porlyusica.

Most of the guild's affairs had now been handed over to Jerry.

But there was not actually much to deal with. Mirajane handled the minor matters, while the major ones mostly came from Natsu and his gang. And they were almost always complaints from the kingdom and the Magic Council over widespread destruction of public property.

For that, all he had to do was Teleport over and cast a Mending Charm.

Besides, Natsu and the others had recently gone on vacation together at Akane Resort Paradise, so the guild was quite peaceful.
