Watching the fierce, evenly matched battle on the beach, Jerry conjured two Ice Creams and handed them to Mavis, the First Guild Master, and Makarov, the Third Guild Master, who only came up to his waist.

"I'm going to deal with the Tower of Heaven over there!"

Makarov and Mavis took the Ice Creams, waved at Jerry, and began eating while excitedly cheering on their own Mages.

Erza was facing Jellal. Though Erza was an extremely powerful S-Class Mage, Jellal, who was at the level of the Ten Wizard Saints, was clearly far more terrifying.

As an all-around magical genius, Jellal was proficient in all kinds of magic, especially the immensely destructive Celestial Magic. Erza had great difficulty even getting close and could only barely defend herself by constantly switching between different armors.

Fortunately, aside from Erza, everyone else on their side held the upper hand.

Ikaruga, the strongest member of the Tower of Heaven besides Jellal, had nearly killed Gray with a single slash at the start, but Ur, Gray's master and a Mage close to the level of the Ten Wizard Saints, had saved him.

Ikaruga was a close-combat Mage. Many Mages did not even have time to use magic before being cut down by her blade.

But she had encountered Ur, an ice Mage who excelled most at large-scale attacks. Once the two truly began fighting, Ikaruga had to devote nearly all her energy to defense and could not get anywhere near Ur.

The situation was extremely similar to Erza's battle against Jellal.
