Seeing Batman's eyes widen, Jerry could not help cracking a joke.

Bruce Wayne was Gotham City's wealthiest playboy by day and became Batman at night to fight crime.

Jerry actually admired Bruce as a person.

A man at the very top of the capitalist class who was willing to risk his life fighting criminals, hoping to make a shithole of a city like Gotham better through his own efforts.

Especially since he was just an ordinary person with no superpowers whatsoever.

But admiration was one thing; Jerry did not agree with Bruce's methods, especially his no-killing rule.

He knew Bruce feared that once he killed, he would lose his moral bottom line and become Gotham's greatest criminal, and that he wanted to protect the justice in his heart.

But the result of arresting without killing was that those criminals always found ways to leave prison or psychiatric hospitals and commit crimes again.

When that happened, they would not only harm themselves, but drag their friends down with them as well.

Of course, everyone had different experiences and beliefs. He did not expect to change Batman's philosophy, nor was there any need to. As long as Batman did not interfere with him earning Little Red Stars to restore his strength, that was enough.

"I'm not a big bat. I'm human, but you aren't."

Bruce thought for a moment after hearing Jerry's words, then answered.

He had never owned a cat, and this was his first time communicating with one. He did not know how to understand a cat's way of thinking. So he assumed Jerry had genuinely thought he was a big bat, and answered in complete seriousness.
