Balthazar took Dave and Jerry to Dave’s underground laboratory, gave them access to the Merlin School Magician’s Handbook, and drew Merlin’s Circle. Dave became Balthazar’s apprentice, while Jerry tested the circle’s effects and prepared to learn more about his magic.
