Professor Gao instinctively touched the back of his neck. There was a small bump there, where the FBA had installed it before.
They had called it a tracker. He had never expected it to be a miniature bomb.
He nodded, his voice choking. "All right... all right..." At last, tears spilled from his eyes.
Tianyi reached into his robes and took out a scroll, spreading it across the floor as his hands formed seals.
"Release!" Bang— White smoke burst forth, and a compact operating table appeared out of thin air in the cramped room.
Microsurgical instruments, sterilized gauze, several syringes, and a small vital-sign monitor were arranged on the table.
"Professor Gao, forgive me." Tianyi raised his hand and struck the side of Professor Gao's neck with his palm.
The old man's body went limp, and he lost consciousness. Tianyi carried him onto the operating table, secured his limbs, and connected the monitor.
He took a step back and formed hand seals with both hands.
"Shadow Clone Technique!" Bang— White smoke exploded, and a Shadow Clone appeared beside him.
The two exchanged a glance. The Shadow Clone nodded, then turned and left the room.
In the corridor, rubble was still trickling down, and smoke and dust filled the air. The Shadow Clone passed through collapsed passages, through ruins, through the buried remains of soldiers, and headed straight for the base's outer perimeter guard zone.

"Mr. President!" the secretary called out.
"Deep Well Base—has been attacked by a superpowered individual!"
The president shot to his feet. His chair slid backward and slammed into the wall. His face turned livid, veins bulging on his forehead.
"That useless bastard! He leaked the information in such a short time! Activate the base's nuclear bomb immediately!
