Land of Whirlpools, White Rabbit Ninja World Outpost Base.
Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the dense forest, casting dappled light and shadow across the ground.
A team of workers in white protective suits was collecting mineral samples around the base's perimeter. Holding scanners, they bent down, crouched, and recorded data with practiced, mechanical movements.
"Team leader, the rare mineral content here is three times higher than at our mine back home."
A young technician stared at his scanner's display, excitement in his voice.
"Don't get excited yet. We haven't sent the samples back for detailed analysis. Surface readings are only a reference."
The team leader crouched a short distance away, sealing a rock sample in a bag without looking up.
"Besides, even if the ore's excellent, we won't finish mining it this month-we're relocating next week. The new coordinates have already come through."
The young technician sighed, slung the scanner over his shoulder, and gazed at the distant outline of the forest as he murmured:
"Honestly, I'm going to miss this place."
"Going to miss it? Then why don't you stay?" The team leader stood and brushed the dirt from his knees, a faint smile on his lips.
"Let me tell you, a wild boar the size of a house charged out while the construction crew was working last time. If the ninjutsu team hadn't arrived in time, the consequences would've been unthinkable."
"A wild boar? I heard the animals in this world are all unusually large and extremely dangerous."
Another, older technician came over and adjusted his goggles.
"The whole base got an extra dish that day. Honestly, that boar tasted pretty good!"
Everyone laughed.
The team leader put away his sampling tools and glanced up at the sky.
"All right, enough joking. The sun's about to set.
