The Third Hokage sat off to one side. He drew his gaze away from Tianyi, settled it back on the silver projector on the table, then slowly turned toward Uchiha Madara.
"In that case, Uchiha Madara, what do you intend to do?"
"Hmph-little brat of the Sarutobi Clan." Uchiha Madara's voice came from the back of the conference room.
"I told you, I have no interest in the Leaf Village. Stop testing me. I have only two goals now." He paused.
"First, to prove that Hashirama Senju's idiotic approach was wrong. Second, to find an opponent who can make my blood boil."
Countless people in the conference room thought to themselves, The only opponent who could make your blood boil would be Hyuga Tianyi, wouldn't it? Hashirama Senju died long ago. Who knows how you even came back to life.
Uchiha Madara's gaze passed over the long table and landed on Tianyi. "And Hyuga Tianyi can satisfy both of those goals."
Only then did the atmosphere in the conference room truly relax.
After receiving Tianyi's signal, Fugaku closed his eyes. When he opened them again a moment later, the glow of his Mangekyō Sharingan had completely faded.
Shisui deactivated his Sharingan at the same time. Everyone sat back down, though Uchiha Madara's presence kept them sitting stiffly upright rather than relaxing as they had before.
After all, the pressure of facing the Asura of the Ninja World was overwhelming.
