Nanami stared at Fushiguro for a few seconds before finally nodding slowly.
"Alright, I'll leave it to you. If you encounter a curse you can't handle, you can throw out Sukuna's Fingers to draw its attention if necessary. Your life is far more important than Sukuna's Fingers."
"I understand. Don't worry, Nanami-senpai." Warmth rose in Fushiguro's heart as he nodded solemnly.
"Exactly!" Maki chimed in from the side, pointing at Naobito Zenin. "If that still doesn't work, throw this old geezer out there to draw the fire."
Megumi Fushiguro smiled helplessly.
"Maki-senpai, what kind of person do you take me for?
The Zenin Family head is still my elder. How could I throw him out there?"
After the brief teasing, Fushiguro summoned his shikigami, Toad.
Toad's tongue curled around Naobito Zenin and pulled him into its mouth.
"Nanami-senpai, Maki-senpai, be careful. Once I get the Zenin Family head and Sukuna's Fingers back, I'll come find you!"
Nanami nodded.
"You be careful on the way too."
After replying, Fushiguro's figure gradually disappeared from their sight.
Maki took a deep breath and tightened her grip on Playful Cloud.
"Let's go, Nanami-senpai."
Nanami flexed his injured arm. After confirming the bandages were still secure, he nodded at Maki.
The two entered the subway tunnel ahead side by side, moving quickly toward where Satoru Gojo had been sealed.
After walking for some time, Nanami suddenly spoke.
"Maki."
"What is it?"
"About that... Jie Jian inside you," Nanami said, carefully choosing his words. "Do you truly know nothing at all about his origins?"
Maki's steps paused slightly before she continued forward.
"I really don't know." Her voice carried a trace of helplessness. "He just suddenly appeared in my head, and then... you saw it too. He was unbelievably strong."
"Can you communicate with him now?"
