Okkotsu gave an awkward smile.
Of course he knew what Takako Uro meant.
The world of jujutsu sorcerers was dangerous and complicated. Okkotsu wouldn't get far trying to shoulder everything himself.
If he kept this up, sooner or later, he would buckle under the weight.
Seeing that Okkotsu had no intention of changing his mind, Takako Uro sighed, then looked at Ryu Ishigori.
"What did you want to discuss with Ryu Ishigori?"
Okkotsu didn't beat around the bush.
"I want to end the Culling Game, and I need your points."
Takako Uro raised an eyebrow.
"End the Culling Game? Big talk from an evil Fujiwara like you."
Okkotsu spoke earnestly.
"My companions and I have already settled on a rule. If we add a rule to the Culling Game allowing points to be freely transferred, we can get around the mechanism that forces people to kill. With voluntary point transfers, the Culling Game's rules on killing would effectively become meaningless."
Takako Uro frowned.
"Point transfers... you mean, as long as someone is willing to hand over their points, players won't have to kill each other anymore?"
"Right." Okkotsu nodded. "The Culling Game's rules require players to earn points by killing others.
But if points can be freely transferred, we can concentrate them in the hands of a few people and let everyone else leave.
People without points would no longer be prey, and those with points would no longer need to kill to maintain their scores."
At that, Takako Uro finally dropped her flippant expression.
"Interesting." She narrowed her eyes. "Adding a rule only takes a hundred points, right? What do you want the extra points for?"
"To end the Culling Game," Okkotsu repeated. "If we gather enough points, we can bring the game to a halt through its rules.
